I used to carry around a Maglite. You know, one of those 6 D sized battery suckers.

Not only does it do a damned good job at its primary purpose (i.e. discouraging people with attitude problems from giving you shit) is also has a great side effect that you can use it to illuminate stuff at night. Which is great if you're looking for something around your car late at night.

its hard to make judgements on character when your staring at a screen. good to hear your not some psycho whos gonna whip out his pole at a moments notice. anyway, think of the weight you'll save if you take it out, every gram counts on the track. 8)

Just a word of advice if the police search your car and find it, and they want to be mean, they will charge you for theft of the trolley pole, and if you choose to use it for road rage, u're more than likely gonna be charged with armed assault - better keep it to fists :)

on the track,I doubt you'd be getting out of the car and clobbering anyone.
on the street however... the urge is there quite often.

well before kiddies are old enough to play with knives, guns and all sorts of other nasties, they go to the local creek, shopping malls, alleyways etc. where they can find some abandonded trolleys.

they then proceed to kick and bash the handle of the trolley, until they do enough damage that it comes off. So the handle of the trolley, which u use to push the trolley, is the trolley pole.

Back when i was at school, i had seen many in action LoL

that's the lamest weapon ever!

I used to have a pole of about the same dimensions, but in solid stainless steel. I never thought of using it as a weapon though, and wouldn't carry such a thing around in the car - it's unnecessary weight!

That said, I've never found it necessary to carry anything weapon like in the car, or wanted to use one on anyone.
The trick is to assume that everyone's an idiot, and make sure you don't do any of the idiot things they do. Generally that won't annoy anyone else and you won't have any need for rage :)

Get a carbon fiber nightstick then if youre worried about weight then Dum ;)

Put a chrome skull on the end of it and it can double as your ful-sik hotrod gearshifter too!

What ever happened to just using your OEM wheel brace?

A nice solid piece of metal, curved at one end (so you can use the curved end to cause blunt force damage, or the wheel nut end to punch holes in stuff) and its actually illegal for you not to carry it.

I always thought my old Aunger Pro-Lock would've been good for that sort of thing...

I have a story which might be amusing to you....

Recently my friends father was driving and encountered a moron on the road who was abusing him about his driving. My friends father is a taekwondo and judo master and was driving his work Van which had "XXX martial arts". The family owns a martial arts retail chain in melb. Anyways, my dad's friend said to the guy "You look like a very nice guy, why are you yelling". The guy then tells him to get out of the car. Surprisingly my friends dad got out. The guys swings at him and my friend's dad ducks but gets hit on the ear. However my friend's dad reacted by getting a judo throw in and wacked the guy on the ground. hahahaha
There were people around watching and later they just left things and drove away. The moron was in front of my friend's dad and he slammed on the breaks in hope that my friends dad would hit him. What a low life.
Can't win in a fight so has to resort to something else.

Moral of the story is, don't mess with martial arts masters especially when they drive Vans with martial arts graphics all over it :)
