Just seen the new TV ad of the holden ute, it didn't directly show it, but you could hear it doing a burnout and filling the valley full of smoke, how is this for responsible advertising???

To top it of, it's moto is "Power to burn", sound familiar......thought so, it was Nissan's moto for the S15.

I reckon their little 'private property' sign on the gate, as you enter the valley will let them get away with it for a while longer than all the other hooligan stuff... its all insinuated hooliganism, no actual stuff like they used to... cleverly done, i must say.

I think the ad for the new commonwhore v6 is worse. The one with the guy grinning as he revs it.
Not only does he power through the gears around some straights and twisties, but then they cut to the back and he has his son in there.
Whats holden trying to say? "dont forget to risk the rest of the family while your at it"

yeah I thought exactly that the other day when I saw the ad...

Considering how other ads have been banned (like the Magna rally one) I couldn't see how they could get away with someone being a hoon on obviously public roads with a kid in the car!

ingenius, you cant really complain as they can just say there only promoting that sort of behaviour on private property, which is fine

I think the Holden ute ad is awesome.... be a shame to see another advertisment banned by the authorities who wrap the general public in cotton wool and dress us in diapers. (So to speak)
