I think thats what they call 'spiking', what brand is your boost controller by the way? Im thinking of getting one myself but I dont know which one will actually hold boost properly without having to go and buy an electronic boost controller. Im not sure how u can really prevent it, Ive always thought that it really comes down to the type of boost controller that u've got. Ive heard mixed responses about the Turbosmart and TurboXS ones, mainly heard that TurboXS holds boost alot better than Turbosmart though.

Man i have the 2 stage Turbosmart doobie and its all good boost never spikes etc. Sounds like a leak in vacuum lines somewhere. Message snezy he had this problem a week ago.

Which model of the Turbosmart ones do you have? Is it the new or old range?

I totally agree with Xris shorten the boostcontroller hoses if possible, and if this is how it always has been 4 u(spiking).
If the problem is only new, check diaphram for waste gate actuator, b4 this of course check all the hoses that operate boost, if you have any doubts about condition of hoses, replace them they are really cheap and a hell of a lot cheaper than rebuild job on your turbo.
Just wondering what boost you are running and how many pounds does it spike?
