the marks on the pulley are -5 0 5 10 15 10

Timing lights usually don't work well on the loop at the back of the coil pack loom, so the best way can be to use a spark plug lead between the coil and plug. Sometimes it will work ok on the loom near the #1 coil pack plug, or just sitting on top of the coil.
