Hi,

Im installing my R33 brake setup on my non ABS 180sx, complete front and rears.

Does anyone know what brake master cylinder I should be using?

I have a BM50 non-abs from an N-1 R32 GTR sitting at home I was thinking about using, otherwise I can use the stock BM44 non-abs from the 180, my other option is to use an ABS R33 GTST BM44 BMC and use a T-piece for the rear outlet so it'll work on a non-ABS car.

Will the stock s13 one have too much travel as its from a single piston design, but the R33 BMC is BM44 too?? Does anyone have any experience with this? Im mainly concerned with braking bias as I will be doing some super sprints this year and would prefer no shitty lock ups from crap bias. It is also road registered which I will be getting engineered so I doubt I can go down the road of external proportioning valve.

Anyone??

Thanks

The s13 one will not give enough rear bias.

The BM50gtr one will work nicely (and be worth a small fortune), or get a 32gtst bm44 one as the lines match up properly.

The 32/33/34 all run the same size pistons front to rear with only minor differences in bias.

If you had an s14 then get a 33/34 bmc as the lines match up, but for s13 the r32 bmc is the one to get.

Cool thanks for the info, I looked for pics of the 33 bmc and it looks like the lines are in a different spot, looks like they will fit s14 but not s13.

Would the R32 gts-t have enough bias for the front as they use the same brakes as S14/S15 which is smaller than the R33 280 x 30mm units which is what I will be using.

I would like to use my N1 GTR one but Im not sure if this would be ok as some N1's came with brembo brakes which I dont have

worked fine for me when i was running the r34 front brakes in the skyline.

I also used one in the s13 NA nugget street car with 33 brakes all round.

Running the N1 master will mean you have less travel in the pedal, more pedal effort, but should work fine.

Nah, worked really well.

On the odd occasion when i cocked it up the front would still lock before the rear so you didn't get speared off the road/track by the arse coming around on you, unlike my old rx7....
