Car: I WANT A 180SX WITH S13 FRONT END
hey i have been looking for a silvia s13 or a 180sx (pop up lights) to buy for a while now but because im on my red p's (get my green's in april) its very hard to find one.
i keep finding heaps of turboes cars , so i was wondering what i need to make a s13 silvia or 180sx non turbo so it is p plate legal?

just buy a non turbo motor+computer and put that in
then when you get your fulls, repeat the process

do ya know the cost it could be including labour? and what is a b16? i really dont know lol

In all seriousness, what you do is take your turbo engine out of the car and stick it in a corner.

You buy a non turbo engine (SR20DE) and drop it in and drive around until you are off your P's.

Then you go grab your turbo engine (SR20DET) and put it back where it came from. There is no reason you can't do this in a 180sx if you want.

Non turbo silvia engines go for around the 500-800 dollar mark. I would give the engine whisperer a call to get an idea of labour costs involved.

this is the best way to do it.
Sr20DE's are cheap and easy to find these days

$500 to $800? really? thats way less than i was thinkin lol any idea on the cost on taking the sr20det out an putting the sr20de in?

Waste of time, just serve your time and learn how to drive properly before getting a real car.

Start off with some POS bogandore and when you're on your fulls buy a proper car.
