ahhh they only make a 480cc for that fitting. thats why he went with the 610s.

i dont need 300kw as that will give me 250km to an 80L tank lol

the sucky thing is no one has worked out why it blocks the transmission cooler when its in manual mode, and how to get around it.

Where have you seen that? I'd be VERY surprised to see that as a feature on any transmission. it'd be suicidal for the manufacturer.

No cooling at all when the box needs it the most would kill the oil and soon after the trans very quickly.

Generally speaking all the manual mode switch does is change to a different shift program in the ecu. it'll hold gears, possibly up the line pressure slightly for faster shifts, and change to each gear on demand rather than from sensor input.
There's no changes to fluid flow other than a possible valve closing off after the pump to restrict flow and up the pressure. Before taking that statement about the 'no cooling in manual mode' as gospel I'd be testing it myself if I was you dude. plumb an oil pressure gauge into the cooling line and watch for changes when you go to and from manual mode. my money's on it being a myth.

thats exactly what everyone is wondering. its also proven in the US as this transmission is used in plenty of nissans over there, 2WD and 4WD models. this also makes modifications cheaper (AUD to USD) and also someone has done all the hard work :P

one of the guys in melbourne has proved this theory, his transmission gets very hot in manual mode even if he is driving normally. which defeats the purpose of having a paddle shift. that isnt proof enough, however the US guys have this documented somewhere.

someone will eventually install a full manual override ECU for the transmission and program that out of it. these devices exist, but they are $700 :(
