Since no one has contributed I will,

Don't bother with the heavy duty exedy range, bite the bullet and go into the sports range with the silver pressure plate. The pink shit is junk.

The sports series, offers:
- organic - full face
- sport ceramic - 3-puk
- race ceramic - 3 puk

I am using in my car (may not apply to you), R32 GT-R push type NC10T pressure plate (1.1 ton load), and 3-puk sports ceramic plate. The car makes a lazy 246rwkW and I can rev dump any gear from 1st to 3rd and it will just bite.

Mind you, I would recommend upgrading the slave cylinder for more pedal control.

Pink is junk? Why is that? I have a exedy heavy duty full face sprung ceramic in my 180 and that is fine, even for 3rd gear clutch kicks (was running 206rwkw) its fine for daily driving too. I also had an exedy heavy duty sprung ceramic (5 puck type) in my dori car and that was fine for massive kicks (216rwkw), pressure plate is harder than the full face ceramic but is still fine for street, and you don’t need legs like arnie to use it.

Pink shit is AU modified pressure plate that gets sprayed pink
Silver is straight from Japan, unmodified

Which doesn't matter if they both perform just as well as each other.
Also I've had good experiences with the pink coloured exedy 5 puck, 190rwkw, fairly abusive driving, clutch kicks etc but also dailied.

Been running an excedy heavy duty for 2 years at 220 atw and has never hinted at slipping. Clutch kicks pretty often and is a comfortable every day driver clutch

Thread revival.

Are you guys referring to the Exedy Heavy Duty or the Heavy Duty Button? Is the button much worse for street driving?

According to this guide: http://www.exedy.com.au/SelectionGuide.aspx, the heavy duty isn't for motorsports, but the HD button is.. So, is anyone using the HD button, or just the HD clutch?

I've got an Exedy HD (apparently it's a button) in mine and I never had a problem with it, though I only had it on the road for a few months, it was just tricky at take off cause it was either in or out so I used to stall a lot till I got used to it and it gives your leg a good workout too when shifting

Just get the Nismo clutch, that should do you fine. Cheap from the US

yeah i had the nismo super coppermix clutch in my S15 and loved it. It is rated at 380ps (280kw) - would that be engine or at the wheel power ratings if the stats come from nismo?

Also, can you recommend somewhere to look to get them 'cheap' from the US? Not having much luck..

I think Dumhed might have a nismo clutch floating around the workshop which could be purchased
