Pulled s15 hids out and noticed that the housing is metal.

14a housing is plastic, will the hids melt the plastic 14a housing?

But ive had HIDs in me s14a for just over a year now. Just pulled them out to check and nothing seems to be melted or damaged.

From what I know HIDs run cooler than Halogens.

Okay cool, was just making sure.

Just thought they may've used metal for a reason.
