Hey guys

So have any of you had any experience with any of the knock sensors that sell on ebay? I keep having code 34 thrown up at me when connected to Nissan Data Scan. From what I've read its not uncommon for these things to stuff up and I'm sick of it putting my car in limp mode. So any advice or suggestions would be awesome. Also I know with most aftermarket ecu's you can erase them completely and not worrying bout them, i'm looking at getting a nistune board in it in the next few months hopefully, so what are the opinions for and against running them.

BTW there is some awesome rides on this site guys, good work

Kingy

Also has a sticker on it saying 30% less friction than other synthetics, and I LIKE STICKERS.

This one is a genuine one so should be no issue

this looks non genuine and would need a different plug put on it but it should work as it's the same style unit.

To be honest, most of the ones i'm seeing on there that are the same style as the nissan one will probably work fine but for the sake of an extra 40 bucks i'd probably just grab one of the nissan ones at 125

Also send taark a pm on NS as his prices can be pretty good on some things.

Awesome, thanks mate, yeah I think i'll just go for the genuine for the sake of knowing it will work,

Whoa and that taark guy has got a fair few things on there i could find useful, thanks heaps for the link, better still he's in aus so less time waiting for the parts. All my consult stuff came from the US so I was waiting for awhile.

And with aftermarket ecu's, is it best to try retain the knock sensor?

it really depends on the ecu.

If the ecu does anything with it (knock light, retards ignition) then it's worth having.

Otherwise, no reason to have it.

Alright, will see what happens when i get the ecu.

Also while I have you here as an admin, little off topic, but seeing as most the threads i've read on the subject are a few yrs old, is it still the same bank account and process for becoming a member, obviously being in my location I couldnt make it to all events but would still like to join up as a member and donate to help cover costs etc for hosting and other things like events.

Thanks
