Hi guys,

I was looking at some alternatives to well known jap brands and found that there are few US companies that make some decent parts. They are not really cheaper than Japanese parts, but the shops could be easier to deal with.

Those look really nice and according to people on US forums are of the top quality.

Also, not American, but new to me and seems like a good deal: http://www.gtfactory.jp/cms/page.php?14

Anyway, may be it didn't worth creating a thread, I just though I would share a small research I did.

splparts arms are the best in america imho, and they bring out improved versions when they see a need. if i were to get a set, it'd definitely be splparts - they also sell replacement rose joints or you can track them down yourself.

fyi poweredbymax arms are made in america, not sure where they source their rose joints.... which is the most important part of all

I think I read somewhere that Powered By Max using some Japanese bearings...
Their items too look very good and have a lot of positive feedback on US/UK forums.

According to frsport.com delivery of a camber arm should cost following:
$102.80 UPS Worldwide 2 -5 Bus. Day Guaranteed
$56.05 USPS Global Priority Mail 4 - 10 Bus. Days
$62.75 USPS Global Express Mail 3 - 5 Bus. Days
$0.00 Will Call / Pickup Call for availability

So with UPSPS Global a camber arm delivered should cost < $380 aud.
Buying Kazama arm from the same site would be $100 more expensive.

Cazman doesn't have pictures of camber arms yet(they planning to sell them for about $420+delivery).
But I like the look of spl parts more, though cazman would give local warranty.

hm the prices do look pretty good.

with the toe arm posted above, its 2 pieces welded together, seems weaker then a 1 piece item? the toe arms look chunkier then cusco/kazama as well.
also with the camber arms, cusco/kazama seem to be of a more sturdy design and looks chunkier.

PBM arms do look pretty good also. And I guess 2 arms should cost around 500 delivered, which is a good price, and from what I've read excellent quality.

it's a tough choice but i'd be picking between ikeya formula or cusco or splparts.

It'd be hard to go past the powered by max arms at those prices. With the exchange rate they are only marginally more expensive than the local stuff and look soooo much better.

It's weird, the older i get and the rougher/cheaper my cars get i am starting to crave pretty suspension bits
