bought a 2nd hand kit last night and the guy said the best way to clean it would be to get degreaser, mix it up in a bottle with a bit of water and pour it into the cooler. sealing it up and shaking around, then using an air compresser to blow it out and repeating a few times. does this sound right to you guys? can anyone recommend any other ways of doing it? |

But some petrol through it, then blow air through it. |

how i did my one was very simliar to that method i duct taped one of the ends, emptied half a $2 can of degreaser in with a cup of water or so, taped up the other end. then shook it vigorously for about 5mins then i emptied it out and used less degreaser and more water this time, another 5mins then repeated it again with mostly water then emptied it, and put a hose through it, not even a drop of oil left in it =) then leave it to dry someplace, while it's drying, straight out the fins or something haha and i used the exact same method for my intercooler too, but double the degreaser for obvious reasons. |
