Post subject:  removing discs

hi guys. is there any technique to removind discs from cars. i remover the wheel and the caliper but cannot get the actual disc to budge. there are 2 screw holes on the disc.... do i just use bolts to push the disc off?

you can use bolts to push it off, or just lightly hit it from behind with a rubber mallet or a rag and normal hammer so it doesnt damage the rotor.

if the rotors have never been taken off, then they can be a little bit hard to take off at first, but you just need to apply a little bit of force to budge them

heavy rubber mallet or medium deadblow hammer
hit the face of the disc, front or back doens't really matter, just need a square on hit

don't hit it like you're hercules, but hit it hard

It's easy to take them off however another option could be getting someone to come around and machine them on the car. Have seen a mobile guy that does this. Not sure if this is worse than off the car but its an option.

If the above ways dont work and there really rusted on Spray WD40 around the hub let it sit for a little bit then hit the center a few times with a hammer.
