well i pulled my lemon blacktop sr20det out the other day after 2 years and 3 track days of abuse it was knocking and leaking oil from everywhere its was supposedly rebuilt in 06 and i bought it on 07 thinking i wouldn't have to touch the engine for a while

i noticed there is no oil squirters on my block
so i'm assume i have a sr20de+t
is there any way of knowing what head i have? turbo or non turbo
do i have sr20de cams
they have
53j 10
53j 11
on them

things to check:

Valves: DET will have thicker exhaust valve stems (7mm) than the intake. DE are the same for both (6mm)

Turbo oil feed and return: you can usually tell if these have been added rather than being original. The oil feed is normally a banjo bolt into the block, which needs a nicely machined surface.
DE+T will usually have a different oil feed setup, or it won't look quite factory.

Turbo coolant lines: The DET has a turbo coolant line in the side of the block, and one coming from the heater piping on the back of the engine. The heater pipe is different to the DE version.

Pistons: S14 DE pistons are flat on the top, whereas DET pistons have a few mm of dish. S13 DE pistons have a mm or so of dish.

Cam cover: The DET cam cover has bolt holes for the coil packs, and the plastic top cover. It's usually easy to tell if those have been drilled and tapped by someone.

Cams: The DE intake cam has a little bit more lift than the exhaust cam. If you measure the lobe height with a pair of vernier calipers you should be able to tell.
