so there's a few options out there;

- old school two people method (annoys two people with one stone)
- one-person bleeder kit (can't see what's coming out)
- speedbleeders (can't see what's coming out)
- workshop vacuum bleeding (too expensive)
- DIY vacuum gun thing (looks like you need to pump the handle 100x???)
- don't bleed them :lol:

to me, the most appealing and cost effective is that DIY vacuum gun thing but it looks like the stroke of the handle is too small to pull any decent amount of fluid - what do you think? has anybody got one?

or is there another way?

one person bleeder kit $10ish Ive used em heaps and they work fine, just make sure you prop the bottle up on a buck or something so as not to strain connection which can make it pop off when the bottle gets heavy

bit of vacuum hose (but preferrably clear stuff), old moccona jar with a bit of brake fluid in the bottom and the hose immersed in it, pump the pedal.

No one way valve needed and after the first press of the pedal the line is full of fluid with the end immersed in fluid so you can't suck air back in.

I've done my brakes this way and had no problems. I also did the rear brakes on tmb's track car and he hasn't complained yet (though when i told him he said he'd have to re do them, but is a lazy shit and hasn't).

The only problem with 1 man systems (other than the vacuum ones) is you can't see bubbles so you have to keep checking and hope once you see clear fluid that it's all good.

I all ways use the 2 people way. Safest, easyst and fastest.

I hate the air bleeders....

yeah thats the way we do it at work but we have a vacuum bottle which is sealed and can use it to suck the old fluid out with the air line connected then you take it off the air line connect it to the bleeder get some one in side to pump the fluid thru in the car no need to pump it up and down just pump it thru till theres no bubbles and the new fluid comes out
