so my s14 had a tiny leak, noticed a few white marks on the water pump pulley so checked the top hose tighten, every thing seemed good.

anyways after another drive it lost heaps of coolant, when i run the car it is dripping very fast running down outside bellhousing, but is also comming from with the bell housing (ie around the yoke for the clutch etc.)

slight wetness on 1 heater hose under inlet, cant see it leaking from here but.

also very microscopic bubbles from radiator and seems to be the od bigger one when u rev it.

oil seems fine etc.

what you all reakon head gasket ? i was thinking welsh plug at first as it mostly seems to be comming from with in the bell housing.

water dripping from inside of the bellhousing with no external leaks above it (i.e. heater hoses nearby or such) will most likely mean a leaking rear welsh plug in the block.

constant bubbles from the radiator = blown head gasket. however if you've been letting it run low on water and have been topping it up it's possible you have just let air into the system and it's trying to work it's way back out.
fix the leaks first and then re-test it.

and stop driving it in the meantime, unless you want to replace the engine.

lol i havent been driving it lol, and def. wouldnt with the current leak, ran it in the shed and it seems the leaking stops when warm.

when i get time ill have to pull some stuff out the way to see exactly where, the leak is.

Any idea why i welsh plug would leak ? something wrong with block ?

worst thing is my daily peugeot i pulled the whole dash out the day before the 200sx problems to fix something, and im flat out all week so no time to put back together (need a day to put it back in), so iam borrowing cars even oh i have 2

factory welsh plus are generally steel. they rust away, especially if the coolant isn't flushed regularly enough.

nar those water tube are on the side of the engine on the front side i think running back to turbo. pretty convinced it must be a welsh plug as there is no other way the water would be in the bellhousing, all leaks i can think off would run around the outside of the bellhousing cause it is bolted hard up to the engine no gaps in the top to allow water in.
