hey guys,

Got a bit of a problem with my S14, when on idle the needle starts to flicker from 2-3000rpm then just jumps to 7000rpm as if its on 1000rpm when idling normal.
When driving the revs stays above 5000 to 7000rpm as if its on normal revs 2-3000rpm (normal driving)

The car drives normal and sounds fine as if there is no problem, it is just the needle of the rev meter is just playing up flickering around at high rev numbers.

Can anyone tell me where to start looking as i have no idea. i never had a problem like this before. can sum1 point me to the right direction to were to start looking.
the car onli has basic mods: fmic, pod, zorst

thanks guys
louie

it might be a loose wire or something

or the tacho might be on the way out.

mine just died randomly last week (s14a)

time for a JDM cluster :P

yeah mine was playing up just last nite while i was driving, im like "woow those revs are high"

so u rekon just a loose wire on the cluster?

i was afraid i would have to invest on sum new clusters.

but i wouldnt need to worry for now as it wont affect the performance?
