just wondering as im thinking of getting a m8s datto shell to use for work.. n noticed the sr20 de's looking differant???

the s14/15 have VCT

that means also that the rocker cover has a slop compared to the flat top of the s13

haha im vell aware of the vct...

but what about the intake plenum?? iv noticed the s15 plenum is differant on the differant modle engines if im correct??

S14/S15 SR20DE looks very similar.

The easiest way to tell the VTC S14/S15 SR20DE from the early model S13 SR20DE is (as Locky said) by the sloped rocker cover. They have a slightly different plenum, a different dizzy, and a few other minor differences (like air intake).

Strangely enough, I have just put a 1997 S13 SR20DE from a Type S 180SX in my 1992 S13 Silvia.

The engine has quite a few differences from my old SR20DE, despite being the same model and all. Different dizzy, different exhaust manifold design, a few different sensors, different EGR. I guess as the emissions laws changed they had to modify the engine.
