On a Silvia without ABS, can the ABS setup from a Silvia with ABS be bolted onto the Silvia without ABS? Are there any other Nissan car's that use the same system which can be interchangable with the Silvia?

Any ABS setup needs proper installation and calibration. I believe it also needs to be certified. I'm not sure about the control system, but there are a hell of a lot of pipes, sensors and wiring to be installed. It might need different hubs too. Even the struts are different, as they have brackets for the ABS wiring.

Learning to brake properly is a far easier and better solution.. I know - partly coz of my ABS I ran into someone. I definately could have stopped better without it, coz it was bumpy and on a weird angle, so to lock up would be more effective than the ABS turning the brakes off most of the time.

for the cost of an ABS setup you could build a truly phenomenal non-abs system... and have enough spare to send yourself on a defensive drivers training course to learn how to brake without the Awkward Barney Support system.

exactly!
ABS won't make you stop better.. In fact in a lot of cases it is worse than a decent driver.. The only real advantage is that you maintain steering even under full braking. And you can have one wheel ABSing, and the rest still braking well (useful on the old road on damp nights, when the inside front wheel breaks traction well before the others ) The brakes themselves will still overheat just as easily, and are not really powerful enough if you've done any performance mods.

on the topic of ABS, does anyone know where I can get my hands on a second hand ABS unit for a 180 ? Mine seems to be leaky, and a new one will cost me clost to $3k.
