well i ended up getting a pwr 42mm excellent quality wielding etc. fitting isnt what id call 100% but gap around fan shoud <10mm might add something to make is neater.

was fine after a wakefield day, although the stocker was working fine before (skid pans, EC )

only negative was the dill who wielded the filler neck on put it 180degrees out so the expansion tank barb faces the wrong way, they said they will fix it but i need to send it back or they will send me $60 pretty dissappointing considering the price.

I have now bought 2 40mm ebay china ones, both are fine in the sense that that do not leak, 1st one fitted just like OEM but the second one had the holes for shroud welded about 4 mm off :(

+1 for ebay.

I bought the cheapest s13 radiator i could find. Supposed to be 50mm but was only 40.

It doesn't leak and the car doesn't overheat.

It was silly cheap. $200 delivered from these guys.

so will an isc do the trick? i'm assuming isc would be a bit more reliable than an ebay one?

I wouldn't assume an isc one is any better than an ebay one. They all come from the same factory in china

hwo needs warranty on a radiator? Just out if curiosity what can happen to it? They pretty much all the same for a generic A/M ones.

It's like a HICAS lock bar - piece of metal. Avoid ebay and shouldn't be any problems. No point paying for brand name unless u got too much dough

Anyways its not always the radiator to blame

I've got a thick ass Saber radiator on 180 with electric fans. It didn't help when thermostat started failing on me. I then got 72C high flow thermostat and high flow pump. Only then the temp got under control.

I say +1 thick aluminium aftermarket radiators...

if the welds split or it starts to crack or leaks then you'll be wishing you had warranty.
