What is the difference between the Red engine and the Black one. i purchased a Black one and think i got jipped, which are the better ones?

Black one is better!
They have variable cam timing and are apparently more responsive to mods..

come to think of it though, they suck, but since I am a nice guy I'd consider swapping your black one for my silver one :>

nah, Silver one is definately faster cos it's not weighed down by the extra red/black paint, and the bead blasted finish reduces wind resistance like a dolphin's skin!

I like to pretend so anyway :>

But that's a CA18, in which case black is NA, right?
