 Post subject: loud spooling

what can i do to get a louder spooling sound, without getting a bigger turbo?

i already have a pod and exhaust.

btw its an sr20det

get a dodge turbo one that is on the way out i believe thats the reason that some turbos spool really loud, cause they are dying? But i could be wrong? Anyone....

I think the lousy t25compressor is the limiting factor here.. If you have a pod there isnt much left to make it spool louder, except maybe a few more pounds of boost :)

Yeah, I've read a few times where if you run a metal pipe from your pod to your compressor instead of rubber, you will get a heaps louder spooling sound. The reason behind this I am told is that the rubber piping absorbs and resonates the sound where as the metal rebounds the sound waves out the pod. Also, I've noticed that VL Turbo's have a pretty loud spooling noise stock and I think they come factory with a metal pipe but I might be wrong.
