Ok, I finally got my car back from nissan today ($1500 later), and they replaced the lower control arm, and the bits around it!

Now I'm not sure if I'm just parinoid, but when you guys take your hand of the wheel, does it still pull left slightly!
I need to know because mine is doing it, and I cant remember if it was doing that before??

I know our roads camber to the left, but want to know if your car does the same.........So go on, jump in your car and let me know!!

If the road is cambered left then yes.... other wise no it stays perfectly straight........

its should just be a wheel alignment...can i asked why you needed a new control arm???and did it cost $1500 for it??

Ahh good questions.

Lets just say it had a hit large enough that any wheel alignment still had it out over 10mm on the left hand side!

Something was slighly bent and they had to replace it. Nissan wouldnt do it under warranty, Pedders wanted $2600 for it ( although they were going to replace a few of the other components)
So the total came to $1500 and it seems to drive much nicer, but even still it seems to pull a bit to the left.
I was told that 17: tyres will also cause a bit of this???

And it has now also had front and rear alignments done!

From experience, any car that has hit a curb with considerable force will never drive the same again. My old integra had this problem, I took it to several different suspension places and they said that's all they can do. Several mates cars now have bad steering problems after hitting curbs. But if it's only going left then just try to ignore it. As long as it dosen't affect the car too badly. Then again, I could be totally wrong as I have limited knowledge about suspension, I was just going on person experience.

Is it wearing one side of the tyre alot quicker than the other?
