hey Dan,
Yeah I just picked one up cheap second hand. I will ring and see if can get an ITC though. It's not cheap to get these things installed and tuned! Best quote so far is $200 but thats without a dyno.
How is your car? Have you sorted the engine?

Aaron.

Hey shpeedie, Yeah nigel is the guy with the intercoolers :).. He is able to get you pretty much anything out of the hks and apexi catalogue for a more reasonable price than say bd4s. Along with that there are a few other things nigel has found along the way, if you can think of anything you want PM me and ill ask him for you, or just email/call him yourself nigel_danson@hotmail.com or 0408 628 323

Aaron: ITC ? i always forget what all the apexi shortcuts stand for :) My car is down at the dealer now, as it turns out the guys who did the initial compression test were morons and the compression is fine (did a leak down test and all cyls are on 85% which is apparently quite good) The fuel pump seems to be the issue (again!!) so yeah all should be fixed by this afternoon !!!!!!!!! (pick the excited guy haha)

Have to hook up and go for a run somewhere, i live in gosford now so only 20mins to hornsby..

Let me know how the tune of the afc goes, and i will be looking into getting one of those if the gains are worth it :)

take it easy

Daniel

My GF has moved to gosford (about 6 months ago), so I go there regularly.

When my car is back on the road completely we might be able to cruise down there ?

EXQS_me So you went from a few thousand dollar job of replacing the engine .. to a few hundred dollar fuel pump replacement !!!
That is very lucky !!!! :) They must have been real mullets determining that the engine was about to go .. .

the guys replacing it now called me up before tho and said they drove it after replacing and dont think much is different, but then again, they are just trying to leech money out of me for things not covered under warranty so who knows...

Would be fun Mayhem, there is bugger all else to do in gosford!! hope to catch up with you and the rest of you guys soon :)

Daniel,
I have been talking to a couple of very good sources and they say the exhaust smoke I saw from your car was most probably from too much ignition advance... test it out, they seemed pretty sure.

Hope this helps.

Aaron.
