On the Australian delivered 200SX (S15), there is a multupin female socket on the back of the single DIN CD/radio head. It is a round socket that looks like an old AT M/B keyboard socket! It is not connected to the wiring harness!

My guess that it is used to connect a remote CD stacker unit to the single DIN cd/radio head!

Does anyone know what it's used for? Can anyone find out? Does anyone know the pinouts?

Thanks! :o

the service manual shows shit all regarding head units

id say its for a stacker. check some clarion head units, they MAY have the same connector as the rest of the stero is made by them. you might be in luck and get something cheap!

if you can take a photo of it, i have a clarion head unit i can look at to see if its the same

Hi Zei,

Yeh, I've had a look in the ESM and this connector is not explained.
Are you saying that Clarion makes these head units for Nissan?

Thanks!

Cheers!

if the head unit has stacker controls on it such as dics selection..etc. then yep, it is a din plug for a clarion stacker.

actually, no it wont

there is only one harness able to plug into the 6 stacker. and its not round. from memory its a 20 pin (18?) configured in 2 rows, one above the other
