they both require a lot of hacking up panels etc

i put a set of 6.5" splits into the back of my S13. sounded awesome. didnt have anything up front tho. the stockeis are 4x6 up front, but people have put much larger and they have worked well

If your planning on running 6 x 9's on the rear parcel tray I'd recommend either bracing it with pieces of wood, or replacing the entire rear parcel tray with 12mm MDF or thicker as the 6 x 9's will be both heavy and vibrate alot.

As for the 6.5" install, here is how to do it:

Hope that helps :D

i bet it is!! damn cops

considering its illegal to have an empty window washer bottle, it wouldnt surprise me if you need an engineer to legalise a parcel tray modification

if you have a sub forget the 6x9's and fit 4" or 5" in the rear depending what bolts in

As Madnss will no doubt agree; that install tutorial is not exactly the best quality installation of speakers just quietly. ;)

For 6.5 inches speakers, if you dont wanna go with the mdf mount u can get a set of pods that can accomadate these speakers/splits. they range about $90+

You can get the same enclosures for the 6 x 9's as well, if you dont wana hack up your parcel tray. They cost around the same - $90 from Strathfield and the like.

Yup there available too :) $58 from Strathfield (i think on sale). But usually 6x9 speakers was designed by the manufacturer for just the larger enclosed boot space in mind and not in a smaller enclosure. 8) http://www.strathfield.com.au/images/Si ... /EMP69.jpg But i have heard two 6x9 pioneer and infiniti speaks linked to an amp in one of those pod enclosures and they do pump and it doesnt sound far from twin 8" subbies.

if u havnt seen or know what the front pods look like, its an actual molded speaker enclosure (sealed) like a sub box (but not shaped as a rectangular cube) and it comes in specific or universal sizes and most can accomodate tweeters in also. Comes in diff colours to suit car interior.

Where do you get the front enclosures from? I've never seen them before
