i rang them, got a quote straight away. spoke to a guy called Adil who was very helpful. however i didnt go with them because they excess was $1000 whereas shannons had the same premium but with $500 excess.

guys when u put the quote done on the internet

will they confirm it with you before they charge your credit card?

because they ask for all the details, even before you get a quote?

Ive been with Shannons for a few years and are having to make a claim at present because of a little driving mishap.

They have approved everything, all new parts including new Works rims and tyres which were all second at the time. $500 excess, that gets my vote :)

I just renewed... still no problems

agreed value still $28k :)

Used to be with them. But last time they tried to renew my policy they didn't want to insure my jap spec s15 for more than 19.5k
So I opted to Vigil for the same premium, smaller excess and insured value of 24k.

hmm shannons were fine with my JDM S15, also agreed value, i lowered it a few $k and the premium came down $300.

i had my black S13 insured with them years ago, made 4 claims in 2 years (none at fault) and never had a problem ever. thats why i went back to them for this S15.

 I am NOT a bully! I'm a lovely young lady thankyou :P

I've also had problems with Shannons though. I know of a few people my age (I'm 21, and they apprently don't insure under 25's) and younger insured thru them, yet they wont even give me a quote!! When I questioned them about my friends having insurance thru them, they made up some thing about how my friends must have been racing go karts or have some form of driving experience prior to getting their learners permit at 16... I was like "ooookaaaay then".
