Within hours for me.
Give them a call and confirm they started the policy, it took them a while to take the money off my credit card, but the policy was active like straight away.

I tried the other day and they said they dont give discounts for Silviansw because they are competitive already. They quoted me $2700 for insuarance and when I mentioned jsut cars was cheaper they siad they're best price was $2600. So they were no good in my case. :-?

Although they did take off $1000 theft excess for having Quicktrak.

haha I feel the same way. Every time I walk back to my car after work I'm half scared it wont be there. My heart sorta jumps when I see it, cos I dont have the $10k to replace it if it gets stolen

Car: dont ask....
got a quote from famous.

took about a week to get a reply but that wasnt a prob. they said $2200 for a non-turbo, auto, 91 silvia with no modification. i have 1 speeding fine and the rest is clean. to me thats pretty damn expensive.

they asked if i had recived a quote from anyone else. i have asked for a quote from shannons and about to get one from just cars.

and if i happen to get a turbo it would be around $3k at a ruff guess.

i just rang, robin at famous, I asked for tommy. tommy wasnt there.

Robin had very little idea, she knew nothing about silviaNSW, and was very unreasonable.. actually pissed me off a fair bit. Sounds like ill need to speak to tommy.

If i can get insurance under $1500 i will be very very happy
car in question:
Stocker 94 180sx blacktop SR20DET, value $16000
mods will be
FMIC, filter, 3" exhaust. 17 wheels, bkit

driver: female 45yo. 65%NCM

What are my chances?

btw, i mentioned marty, she said, quote"WHO THE HELL'S MARTY" 8)

I spoke to Tommy, the discount is for being a member of any club. Basically all you need to say is that your a member of a club (SilviaNSW) and you have a member number.

Robin I have never spoken to.

Just wondering, does Famous give discounts for having a Brant alarm installed?
