"Bro my batteries fully dropped like 5 volts when the subwoffa hit omg"

I don't mind this S15, compared to other folli sick ones out there this is nothing; it has what, one subwoofer in the boot, nothing over the top. Probably sounds the goods, and that'll showcase FHRX or whatever.

I was expecting it'd be a voltmeter, that would be watched during DB drag racing or something, where the car is static, but if it's a boost gauge, that's just sad.
it's not like you can see it ANY time you're driving, and a dyno will have it's own anyway, which will also be on the correct side of the car for viewing during runs. functional items becoming rice...what's next? spare wheels that pop out and spin and flash in time with your music?

Justin...

Okay guys, if everyone can calm down a little I will explain the ideology behind the cars current build seeing as its painfully obvious some here are not reading the text that goes along with the photos.

1. Filter.
There is a sock (similar to a Weber sock but larger) from my old drag car over the intake which is not shown in the photos. If it perplexes people that much I can post a photo of the filter.

2. Track and engine work.
For those not in the know, I used to race cars a lot during the 90's and early 00's. During this time built many FJ20's and SR20's. This 200SX was raced quite a lot between July 2001 (when it was bought new and modified) to around late 2005. I don't get a lot of time to drift / circuit race / hill climb anymore due to the business so I thought I'd get the stereo back in there (seeing as that is what my business is).

3. Boost gauge.
The above paragraph leads into this one. The boost gauge is under the bonnet because I like to see what is happening when the car is on the dyno during my tuning of it. You might notice fergo308 that is has a tube that is quite long so I can detach it from its holder and hold it anywhere (such as in the car with me, under the car or even next to the car). I'm of the opinion that a car with the power that this one has (which is not that much) you don't need to drive around watching a boost gauge. If you're driving along and you lose boost or hit a peak you're going to know all about it anyway. When I tune I tend to require all the instruments, not when I'm just cruising around. If you want guages all over your interior and / or bonnet then best of luck to you mate. I don't want that look anymore.

3. Kick panels.
There is plenty of room for me to drive it in both ways (normal and heel / toe - see photos on the website) and I have no trouble manipulating the pedals at all. Therefore if I have no problems driving it then the cars functionality is not coming second at all fergo308.

4. Show car comment.
Just to reply again to one of your comments fergo308, the car is not designed to impress 15 year olds. Instead, it is designed to impress musicians, audiophiles, audio engineers and the like. Basically, anyone who is serious about their sound. I know this cliché is thrown around a lot today in the car audio industry but we actually are primarily interested in producing the best sounding systems possible today.

At the end of the day, I am not a dope. I understand how to build an engine and I also understand how too drive. I do not compromise drivability, safely or functionality in my customers cars nor will I compromise it in my own car. Therefore I'd appreciate if select people here could cease insinuating I'm a idiot.;)

This one gets driven once a fortnight. On the subject of the boot being taken up; i'm not sure it's wise to buy a 200SX if you're only interested in going to the shops and back to get the groceries do you?;)

The only smoke produced by my laser is due to worn rings (still the original motor)...:D
