very nice and clean, love the dual batteries but doesnt look like you have space for an air filter anymore :)

well in the pics it shows him with his foot on the accelerator fine, although there isnt enough clearance there for my liking you have got to give credit where credit is due

yeah, you do. I'm sure the stereo works very well. can't say the same when it would come to driving it properly though.

no space to move your feet in to work the pedals,no air filter on the intake, and clearly you don't need to take anything with you that doesn't fit on the back seat,as you have no boot space left with that woofer mounted that way.

pretty show car. when it's finished being shown to 15yr olds, will it get stripped back out and driven a bit?

Fergo dont you know any thing?????????

Who cares about a air filter??? its not as important as a 2nd battery for your doof doof :D

Dude you should top mount the turbo so people can see it spin, sick sick :D dont worry about the AFM its as useless as a air filter.

not everyone who owns an s15 has to drive it on a track or a windy road.

this car, clearly is to showcase some of the work which they can do at FHRX.

i like the install its very clean, allthough not something i would personally undertake.

a very nice choice of gear too, Focal. i had a utopia series 13" sub woofer too in the 180 it was awesome. Also had the polyglass front splits.

once i get the new car the sub is going back in and im going to upgrade to the kevlar speakers and not just front splits this time, the V35 has 8 speakers in the cabin lol

of course they don't. the same as how you don't have to go off-road if you own a landcruiser. you can be a poser with one of those as well...

and it does your second point quite well. marty does great stereo work. it's just a shame that the function of the car comes second. IMHO,the install would be even better if it didn't compromise the car's utility, but instead complemented it,keeping the space useable, whilst still giving you great sound. it's well known that the rear quarters of silvias are a great un-used void,so why not utilise this space for amps and subs? oh yeah, because noone would see them tucked away in there, and the object of the exercise is showing off more than putting it to any real use.

Its a bit hard to let people know it sounds great over internet and in magazines..

Keep in mind that this car is indeed a ROLLING ADVERTISEMENT for his business. He could well go "look at this. It looks awesome. It sounds just as good too. Oh by the way, I could make it sound the same but look invisible too if you wanted"

Whats a better advertisement, a black and white card with your name and phone number, or eye-grabbing, pretty ads with a nice jingle?

And there IS a section on this forum for Stereos... which this bloke HAS posted in.

I like the sub install... looks unique and very neat.

Nice work :)

If you actually speak to Marty, you will know this S15 has done it's fair share of track work as well as audio work.

Marty is a top bloke, and does awesome work with audio, but I also dare-say that S15 would put out much more than your stock looking S15 on the roads, it's a mix of stereo and performance factor as well.

I like the work he has done, and it's impressive considering the last time I saw his S15, it only had 1 battery, amps and cabling in the boot everywhere, etc.

Top job, and keep the good work up.

B.

Why does an Air filter stop someone using their car in certain ways??? (an air filter merely filters rubbish from the air, it does not stop the car from running reliably, just limits the time it might be reliable for).

As for a boost gauge under the bonnet, there is not reason not to have one under there, it would be handy for a dyno tune, and once tuned, maybe the owner trusts his EBC enough to not be bothered with a gauge for boost spiking, etc.

I have run my car previously without an air filter (due to it being a paper filter and breaking up), performance was no different, but having said that, I wouldn't want to do it perminantly.

Brian do you ever read your own posts before you click submit?
Just have another flick through your explanation for having a boost gauge under the bonnet...... now tell me on which planet that would be a logical or practical idea?
