I just received my rego renewal papers, and my CTP is now with NRMA since i bought my new car.

The cost of the CTP premium is $567.60. HOWEVER, if i show them that my current NCB is 60% then the premuim becomes $328.90.

That's a saving of more than $238!

So anybody out there with a full no claim bonus, i recommend giving NRMA a call when it's time to renew your rego.

Do you know if they will lower it for any level, or just 60% NCB?

Does it matter who you are insured with? Are you insured using NRMA, or someone else?

No, it doesn't matter. I currently insured with AAMI.

I'm not sure about the other levels of NCB.

I've only been paying 330-350 for the past 3 years. And that was before i had fully comp insurance and any NCB.

Good old aami, consistantly cheap. I dont even look at the others anymore.

I just paid $340 for my CTP slip from Zurich.

NRMA wanted $650 to renew it with them. :o

I always thought the $570 mark was pretty standard with every insurer.

How have you guys been getting the cheap version?

I would not have anything with the NRMA ever!
I even moved my house and contents insurance from the NRMA
My green slip is with aami as well.
Both cars are insired with just cars and I get a decent discount.

I dropped NRMA this year and went to Just Cars as well.

Their idea of "choice of repairer" is more like "suggestion of repairer", but that's no different to NRMA. On the plus side, they don't force repairers to look at pictures on the Internet to work out how much it'll cost to fix.

If NRMA ever sends me a customer satisfaction survey, I'll give it to them with both barrels.

I was happy enough to take their share's when they floated. They're worth over double what they originally came out at :)

As for the cheap green slip, i was with gio for years when all green slips were still about 300, then the price went up to 500 on average and i went somewhere else and then looked around the next year and gio were back to 300 as i'd just cracked 25. The next year their price crept up a bit and aami were offering me 300 dollar green slips and thats the way it's been for the last 4 years.

My greenslip is $420 (we dont have as many ppl here to run over as sydney). NRMA is a little sneaky, when you get to 60% there is a big saving but they wont pass it on without you asking for it.

If it's documented, then there might be a claim for Fair Trading, because that's not right!!!!

If it's an "undocumented saving", then fair enough.
