Holy shit.. zombies!

I dont have a sound system in my 180, nor my 86.. Although the 180 is going to cop a CD player to entertain the girlfriend and muffle the incredibly loud exhaust

For interests sake, I wound up running Rockford Fosgate 100w RMS 6.5" splits in the front, and the JBL 6.5s in the rear, powered straight off the Alpine headunit.

Moving to the 180, I kept the headunit and RF splits, but added an 1100w 6ch amp, a 1000w 10" sub, and a pair of Polk audio 6x9s. That was a very nice setup.

going back three years is pretty good for zombies!

my AE86 is going to have an old kenwood head unit, and a pair of 4" speakers up front in the dash locations. it'll sound like crap, but any system is going to sound like crap in a car with no interior beyond seats and front door trims, fully rose jointed suspension banging away and minimal exhaust muffling.
it'll be just enough to stave off boredom while cruising around.

the wagon has a full alpine setup, with a DVD + Mp3 head unit,DD Drive front and rear splits in the doors running off the head unit, and a monoblock amp driving a 12" ZR sub. it's loud enough to hurt my ears, annoy the neighbours and rattle the panels of the car next to mine,so that's more than enough for me. SQ is pretty decent as well despite the large wagon body.

my girlfriend's S14 has an alpine MP3 head unit,DD Drive front splits, and 6" coaxial alpines in the rear shelf, running off of the head unit. this setup lacks bass, but I'm going to fit a small monoblock amp and a single 10" sub in the quarter trim sometime in the future.

the sound in these cars is for entertainment, not sound-offs.

no. because youd have to cut a hole and mount them on something on top of the shelf.

Well if you are talking about s13, the rear stock ones are 6inch.
i had this situation when i put 6x9 on top of the rear parcel with spacers they became loose all the time and just wouldnt sound great, so i took the rear parcel tray of and had a look at what size the factory speakers are which were 6inch so now i am running 6inch speakers at the back and sounds not to bad
