Does anyone know much about trust t517z, if they are any good and what amount of power they flow? I am interested on putting it on my sr20det now have malpassi fuel and walbro 500hp fuel pump (thanks mys15t) and blitz lm fmic kit coming, Would i need injectors or would the fuel reg be good enough to stop the engine from starving and would the standard internals be able to take this kind of power?

Help would be really good as i am looking for a good turbo cheers

They are a very good turbo.

They come with a few different exhaust housings (up to 10cm i think) and are rated somewhere around the 200-210rwkw power level

They are also plain bearing and non water cooled whick makes them eaiser to remove and rebuild if it's required.

For SR20 i'd consider a T518Z with a smaller rear housing which will give you the headroom for up to 230atw or the 10cm which is good for 240-250.

Theres a bunch of info on the trust web site but you have to run it through a translator or try the american site www.greddy.com or something

Shop around on the forums, I have seen the T518Z 8cm go for around teh $2400 mark, which is the turbo I would be going for.

hmm how big is the T518Z ? compared to say a HKS item ?

is it like a 2835 ? or we talking 3037s ? or smaller like a 2540 ?

no idea when it comes to the T51 series......know other trust ones like the T67,T78 and the all mighty T88...which I heard now comes in T88-38gk ? damn thats a HUGE turbo.....oh and of course the T04e`s etc etc...

t518z is comparable to HKS GT-RS

rated near the same 400-420ps

hmm well that rules out the t518z then......cause the GTR-S is nice...but the exhuast housing is pretty much the same as my stock one...hence the good response...but doesnt make enough power.....well not the power im after.....

u can pull max around 250-300 rwkw with a t518z 10cm / gtrs

420ps is same as around 410hp, which hence is around 305kw :D

if u can achieve that out of one of those turbos, pat yourself on the back :D

I cant imagine many people making 300rwkw on a gtrs unless you have 2 of the big ones. Turbos are rated at engine horsepower not wheel hp

did i saw rwkw?

i said between 250-300 rwkw, but 305kw @ engine?

i know the rwkw claim may be over exxagerated, but apparently one guy in my area is pulling close to 300rwkw+ on his GT-RS

mabye he got it "high flowed" or whatever the term is. Or mabye he is just a bullshit artist.
