i've been considering one of these on the ca18.... which do you think would have better response on the ca, the 2510 or the bbt28?? hmmm... either will have enough top end for me, for the time being anyway :P
I've hear the bb t28 will be on full boost by 3000 rpm on a ca18, which is much the same as the stocker!!

Na id still go a T28. I used a S15 T28 that made 215kW standard and a whopping 254 after I had it high flowed. A similar turbo will be going onto my CA when my manifold shows up. Boost comes on from bout 15-1600 RPM with a standard turbo and I found the T28 was almost the same.
Cheaper than a 2510 to and the pulsar I put it one only managed 230kW with tuning

Had the oil feed fitting welded up today ready to be drilled smaller. A bit under 1mm will be the go. After this turbo is ready to go on. Should be on and tuned within a fortnight I hope :)

2510 is on the car!

All details can be found here:

http://tuning.silviansw.com/fittingaturbo.html

Goes alright for only 9psi and no wastegate assistance.

Ok before I was running 14psi on the t25g via my Blitz ebc. With other mods: SS manifold, full exhaust, FMIC, HKS step 1 cams, POD the car was pretty damn responsive. THe manifold in particular made low end power very smooth and tractable.

Now it's running the 2510 with the other mods the same, but the ebc switched off. So it makes 9psi on the actuator pressure. Response is not far off stock at current. It starts to spool just as quickly at low revs but is lacking midrange at the moment. The difference is where the t25g would be rocketing to 14psi with the ebc but the 2510 is only using 9psi.

So when the ebc is on and aiming for about 18psi, I think the 2510 will shit all over the t25g in both power and response.

Expect t25g vs 2510 dyno graphs overlayed, and possibly a hks gt2540 graph from when Too_much_boost owned the car.

Just whipped it up because I was jealous of all the fancy avatars on NissanSilvia.com

Yes please read I put many hours into the site to assist others, so make sure my efforts don't go unnoticed.

Site is doing really well though. Past 63,000 hits now and getting a few hundred per day :)

I've been thinking that. Especially since it is about to be expanded dramatically to feature a series of tech articles by DumHed:

5 stud conversion
S14 NA SR20DE custom turbo install

His new top secret project that everyone will be in awe about when it's uncovered :)
