Has anyone ever had one or driven an SR with one fitted? I am considering using one on a SSS pulsar.

don worry I want it too. The engine I built for the GTiR was telling you bout is now goin into a SSS and I got slammed with the fitting job. apparently its not hard so see what happens. The thing apparently has a trust set up at the moment which brings me to my next question. Is the GTiR set up fittable to a normal SR20?

Depends on what you consider a 'normal' SR. If you mean RWD, then no the manifold won't fit. You will need a RWD exh manifold and also rotate the turbo housing s to suit. Its not such a big job. The HKS 2540 on my old 180 came off a GTIR

Got a 2510 arriving in the mail today (hopefully). Aiming for 210-220 rwkw with:

red top SR20, freshly rebuilt after bearing failure (about to go and pick it up)
nismo metal headgasket
hks 256/264 step 1 cams
ss austochrome manifold
FMIC
exhaust
blitz ebc
z32 afm
550cc injectors
retuned ecu (daughterboard!)

Probably run around 18psi.

Expect huge volumes of info on my site durin the fitting and tuning.

if you don't get 210-220rwkw with that setup, you need a smack in the head. It should get damn near than on 15psi

2510 will be running out of breath by 220 but will be responsive as hell on the way there. It'll probably make boost at idle with the cams and manifold :)

If it runs out of puff around 210-210 then why would you choose this over a S15 one?
What are the advantages.

better response and typical hks turbo ability to push 1.5 bar into the engine and still be relatively efficient.

It'll be interesting to see the results on a fresh engine with cams and manifold. Me thinks there will be some traction issues to over come :)

I don't think the HKS turbo would have better response (as they effectively have a back-cut wheel compared to the S15 turbo), but they would get a few more kw at the top end.

Somebody buy me one to test this theory
