Garret makes HKS turbos right, guys? But is there really big difference between them? For example, HKS GT25/40 and Garret GT28. They are very simillar.
Is it really worth the extra couple hundred bucks to get the HKS?

well that's kinda true :P

The RB and VG turbos were a joint development between Nissan and Garrett. They don't have any Garrett markings anywhere, just Nissan.

My subaru is supposed to have an IHI brand RHF5 on it, but it has some kind of Garrett, go figure

also i beleive IHI is a part of Fuji Heavy Industries (aka Subaru)

what difference will what's above make,you already know they're different.

go on the performance figures,not just the cost. especially when the price difference isn't massive.

the HKS wheels are better. garrett make them to HKS specs,but aren't allowed to sell the same wheels in any of their own turbos,so they go close. buy a GT28 and you get close to an HKS equivalent turbo as a result. how close is good enough for you?

IHI also made the turbo's that went on the Ferrari F40 which is kinda cool
