Yup. Trust isn't as wide tall - 276mm as opposed to 300mm for the Hybrid.
Aluminium piping.

You are looking at about $1700-1900 for one.

Trust or GReddy comes in 3 models for SR20's. V-SPL, R-SPL and R-SPL HG (I think that's what they're called).

V-SPL and R-SPL have same dimensions (76mm thick) but differ in their finish (V is unpolished and R is polished) and core construction. The R has a greater surface area with secondary fins allowing a better cooling efficiency. The silicone hoses may be differnet as well too, but not 100% sure. RRP for V-SPL is about $1800 and R-SPL about $2400, although I've seen some traders sell the V for about $1250+ postage from another forum.

The R-SPL HG difference from the standard R is the thickness (115mm). I have no idea how much they are but chances are it's a shitload.

probably cause they'll get twice the money out of you if you buy the trust unit over the hybrid..btw who are these misterious "heavy tuners"?

I have a V-SPL and are more then happy. 8)
I have heard, like all the other things you hear on the internet so it must be true, that the V-SPL is on of the best flowing cores for that size.
I dont know if that is true, but you can plainly see the core design, and from the size of the tubes compared to other cores, I would say it is but, thats is all my desecion is based on.
My boost controller went crazy when I installed it, from 13 to 17psi so I cant tell if there was any pressure drop.
The quality of the core and pipes seem to be good enough.
One of the ppl that suggested it to me had a 260rwkw S15 and he ran one, there's 1 "heavy tuned" car with one.
Pics Here!!

what do people use when they go over say 300rwkw? are there 'better' brands for very high power applications?

i cant say who these tuners are, but i do run a uni  and its not aps that tunes im not in melb

basically been told to get a trust for future changes of heart, like power is never enough theory, so when u start upgrading injectors fuel lines etc it can handle more mods.. i think its rated at 290 at wheels? while the hybrid wont be good at that..so what there saying is pay more and do it right first time so u wont have to buy another one later if u want to increase power again, which makes sense...have friends that always looking at short term then selling cheaper mods to replace with better ones when they could have done that at the begining :-?

Does the R and V trust give u same power capabilities?

we will see shortly how the hybrid performs at around the 300kw mark (@rw) once my engines built. I will keep every one updated.

They do have different cores. I've compared them together side by side. When you look through the end tanks, the R has these 'secondary' fins coming off the primary ones. The more fins you have, the greater the contact is with air and thus better cooling.

Not sure how many kw the R supports against the V, but I can say the V should comfortably support around 250rwkw.
