yeah it'd work but it'd be a mega lagwagon!

most of the exhaust energy will be lost before it even reaches the turbo!

then there's the massive amount of coolant / oil plumbing to do... You'd need an electric scavenge pump to return turbo oil to the engine too.

fuck some people are stupid look at the shape of the inlet to the exhaust side of the turbo, that wouldn't be flowing to well.

its some weird car for sure. with the way the plenum entrance is in the middle on the top, irts probably a V6 or V8, maybe even a rotary??

Its definately a V8, and probably yankee, as the brake master cyl is on the opposite side. The only reason I can think is that there wasn't room in the engine bay for the turbo, so the mechanic (who obviously doesn't understand turbo theory too well) thought he'd be creative and stick the turbo at the rear to be smashed up by speedhumps and the like..
