hey ..
just wondering what sort of Manifold modifying is needed to fit a T28BB from an R33 onto a '93 SR20.

The flange size is the same so it should bolt straight in with some luck. Could be wrong though.

are you sure that it's a T28 BB and that it's coming form an R33???

i thought R33's ran a T3?

The R33 does have a T3.

yeah .. thanx guys .. i just found out that it is a T3 ..
so now i know i definately have to modify the manifold to make it fit ..
Anyone know power differences between a T28BB and a T3 ??

the T28BB should have better low down response, but if you highflow that t3 you'd have a top end monster.

the T3 off a VG30DET is rated to provide about 190rwkw, and when highflowed can produce in excess of 200 without trouble so you should be fine in terms of power production

man the t28 off the r33 is good for nearly the same power output of a s15 turbo(s15 bolts straight on), the vg turbo is a monster but has big lag over the other turbo's all the turbo's rate around 180-190kw. the s15 or even a s14( the s14 will only be bb if it is a jap spec, no aust s14 is bb) turbo would be a better option cause it has less mucking around.

How would you tell the difference between an S14a JDM engine/turbo and an S14a Aust spec engine/turbo??

not for sure but the only diff i can think of would be the model number on the turbo, besides there is jack shit diff if any
