Hey Guys

Picked up a Hybrid Intercooler excluding the piping last night off a mate, its only been only the car for 2 months or so.. Basically what i want to know is:

Is any brand for Intercooler piping fine i.e Cooler Pro from Just jap ? or should i be looking at a particular brand ? If so what can you guys recommend ?

- Joey -

Apologies if it has been covered before, done a search but i didn't really find anything.

just get a GKtech piping kit, designed for their cooler which is the generic shape of 600x300x75, and your being hybrid should be around the same shape, maybe some adjustments to the piping and the cooler mounting position might be required

but for a whole kit at the price they sell them at, why bother with a cooler that you then to have to make up piping to suit?

thanks for the reply guys, might do as a lot of people have suggested and go for some generic brand piping and quality silicon hoses and clamps (clamps and hoses are the two important things I've been told ?)

Will keep you updated on how i go !

thanks for all the replies and help guys. I have ordered a piping kit from a company in VIC, which has been highly recommended by a fair few people that have bought from them.

Now my only questions that remain are:

1 - Installation is this a fairly straight forward job, is their some documentation on the site ?? (if so can someone link me :P)

2 - If not can someone recommend me some shops that will do a quality job. I live in the Hills District so i would prefer local.

once again thanks to everyone that has helped in the process. :)

Install is pretty easy Mate..
If you post up a pic of the piping when it arrives then we can number each pipe in order of where to fit it :)

kool and what about the actual front mount installation ? Is their need to cut or file away the chassis ?

And i would assume i need a smaller battery ?

if the M spec cooler is anything like the other trust intercoolers yes you will need a smaller battery and also will need to drill a hole through your battery box or what ever you want to call it. i think it is about a 80 or 90mm cut out. i think that is all you need to cut, i can tremember if you need to drill through anything where the brackets sit you might have to.
