Does anyone know how good are these intercoolers?
I am thinkin about purchasin 1..
With a $880 price tag for a Bar-Plate intercooler measuring 600x300x76mm it's hard to resist! I heard from a mate that the hybrid IC have a very bad flow ratin...

My mate has a hybrid intercooler on his ca18 180sx. Not sure about how it flows but it seems to do the job?

food for thought:
good mate has a hybrid sponsored GTR (32), and he was considering replacing his factory cooler with one of theirs, coz it gave better flow and cooling than his. And i know i wouldnt mind a GTR FMIC (@$850,$900!!!), so if these are retailing cheaper... maybe useful info.

Supposedly have not much pressure drop across the core, but that comes from Roger(hybrid), so take it with a pinch of salt.

Ummm, I would have one, but can't afford it

One word of advice: Steer clear of Hybrid

Everyone that I know that goes there gets ripped off. I have friends and receipts to prove it. The standard of work is shitty and disgraceful. Only go there if u have a big wallet and dont give a damm about your car.

aL, QIK: suggestions for alternates?

I was very happy with the work they did for me, but the price was... painful...

Which places have the seal of approval?

For turbo work and maybe even IC work, try John at Turbocare at French Forest.
He's a one man operation but he gets the job done well and at a good price.
I had my GFB BOV fitted there and he was knowledgeable and very friendly.

Not Hybrid Vision, Roger doesnt give a damm about your car. My friend spent $800 for a set of King Springs and this price does not include installation. Another friend paid $340+ for a Cusco strut bar for his car about 8mths ago and they told him they need to order it in from Japan and it will take 3 weeks. Well, its been 8mths!!! Still no news, and he found out recently that there is apparently no such strut bar for his car and he went back for a refund but they keep saying its coming next week.........I can go on and on but u get the idea..........

Micks Metalcraft, great quality work for IC's etc. Personally i'd use C&V for any other jobs, at Waterloo.

Yeh I've heard the same too...

I personally have a hybrid cooler in my car at the moment.. and not being bias or anyting. i think its great.. n it does the job....

I didn't get Hybrid to fit my one at all, as they are very pricely.. I went to Justmotorsports, and fitted it for me...

I'm pretty sure, someone posted a website to purchase stuff on here b4.. n they have hybrid coolers for $760 or sumting like that... includ GST...

Thats very cheap......
