does the gt28rs come with different wheel sizes i have read that they have a .64 wheel and been told to get one with a .68 wheel because thats what most people use because it spools fast.I have also been told they are great for drift but my mate has one and it seems to be laggy and comes off boost easy like it will die in the ass 2nd gear nuts.What do you guys think

I assume you mean .86, not .68. I'll go from there;

The numbers you are quoting refer to the turbine housing A/R, not the turbine itself. Turbine size is fixed. Get the .64 (smaller housing), don't even consider a .86 if you are worried about lag or dropping off boost.

along with the supporting mods (PFC, cams, injectors, etc) it should make 220-230rwkw easily.

hahaha.. yeah right! you were going pretty quick!!!

I might give Denis a call after my mechanic fixes up all the piping and does the tests.

So.. i have a question.... before I hit the track again, I want to finish off the power mods and get this turbo running at it's peak... and safely.

so I'm guessing I need fuel pump, injectors, ecu... that's all i can think of off the top of my head.

555cc injectors?

what else??
(bare in mind, we're just talking about getting the turbo running at it's peak.. and things like gauges, oil cooler, radiator (lol) and a few other things, we'll discuss them later! lol)

help me?

the usual;

injectors, afm, ecu, fuel pump. Cams and rocker arm stoppers if you feel rich.

555's will do it. rb25 afm will do the trick, it's more to remove a restriction in the inlet than for higher airflow capabilities, z32 afm's are readily available new though so less risk there plus most tuners are familiar with them. Your choice. walbro pump will do the job, and a remap.

what about no afm? with the right ecu?

Your call,

personally i think people who get rid of the afm are nuts, but i'm an opinionated bastard....

You tend to lose a fair bit of refinement particularly around low throttle openings

Tight ass people who don't wanna spend the money on a decent afm, often go map or if ya into extreme weight saving you might be able to save a few grams by ditching ya afm ;)

Dave is right in this instance. You will get best overall results from running an afm.

Remap on your car will be a bit expensive due to S14 motor, so you are probably better off with powerfc

How much have you got to spend? unlimited budget?
