Does anyone run one of these turbos on their cars? I would be interested to know what sort of power you are making with them since I feel my car is making a tad less than what it should.

probably because of the 8cm intake. i think all the other ones here have had the 10cm variety

Well I am making 200.6rwkw @ 14 psi with 550cc injectors, hks step 1 cam, z32 afm, walbro 500hp fuel pump and powerFC. Does that sound about right?

It's an S14 SR20 btw.

Sounds low.
But we can't tell how good your tune is.
Could be crappy.

What sort of dyno etc was the run done on?

Done by Unigroup and on their dyno.. although he did say I was running a crappy batch of petrol.. don't know how much that can affect it.

It means he can't add in the timing or the boost he could with decent fuel.

What do you normally run in it? I tend to get ultimate as it's fairly consistent.

I always use ultimate. Maybe the servo I went to had a bad batch? I still think the power figure should be slightly higher. Engine has good compression and it drives very smooth so I don't know what it could be.

I have to take it back so he can work on the cold start and then he said he'll run 20psi through it. I will see how much power it makes then but even with 20psi I doubt it will reach much higher than 220-225 if it's only at 200.6 with 14psi.

Mine made 223HP last weekend - 93 180sx, FMIC, 3" dump back exhaust, POD (and a suspected fuel pump problem)... and apparently only 8psi!
So yeah, that seems low.

223HP is what.. 166kw or so? I made 180ish on 10psi so I guess it's not THAT far off... hopefully with a new batch of petrol I can get a bit higher reading.

doubt it, did they specifically say they couldnt run the usual timing because of early detonation ?

it seems a tiny bit low, but unigroup seems to punch out lower numbers then some others. run 20psi through it and see what it makes it will be easier to tell if there is something wrong at near peak airflow. somewhere between 220-230rwkw i believe is in that turbos range, similar to a gt2530.

Yeah, it's easy to get confused, because everyone's always talking HP nowdays.
