Finally after waiting months for Garrett to get their act together, I have finally got my new turbo. It is a GT3076R but as Morrie said the plate says GT3037S-56T.

I know a few of you are interested in the anti surge mod, so I will try take some photos tonight with and without the mod in place.

Edit:
Here are the photos I took last night. I thought I would kill two birds with one stone and compared it against the T2871R at the same time. There is one comparision shot of the T25G and the GT2871R.

No its an alloy insert that form a bell mouth and the anti surge function.

No it sits in the air path going into the turbo not out.

It doesn't even have a turbo in the picture  . It looks like a 6 cyl HKS top mount pipes, there is something where the turbo mounts but cant see it clearly enough. I would say it was the wrong link.

Should look like this one, considering it's the same turbo.

In the pics you will notice a slit all the way around the comp housing near where the compressor wheel goes. You will also notice an air gap all the way around the outside of the bell mouth insert. The air recirculates through the slot back up the sides and back into the bell mouth. This apperently widens the surge margin as per the maps on the Garrett website.

Interesting stuff, i always wondered what the go was with the inlets on those turbos.
I thought it might be somthing to do with variable blade turbos or somthing or other previously.

Found the comp map for the standard inlet on the Garrett site
http://upload.silviansw.com/GT3076R_700382_12_comp.gif
but can't seem to find the map for the one with the mod... maybe it was on a 3rd party site.

Edit:
Found it under the tech article section
http://upload.silviansw.com/Fig2_enlarges.gif
http://upload.silviansw.com/fig3_enlarged.gif

As you can see it makes a larger turbo far more flexiable for use on a smaller engine.

edit: i'll have a look around for that pic i meant to post before, its a very different insert from the one you have, the guys who frequent SAU would have seen it on SK's sig.

Internally (especially the comp side) there seems to be little difference, but the comp cover is bigger giving the illusion that the turbo is actually bigger than it is.
