Was installing a new turbo and was all ready to run but found the water line to the turbo off the left hand side of the engine is cross threaded. It is a banjo fitting so therefore it leaks if it isnt nice and flush. Any ideas for a fix or someone in sydney that specialises in the sorts of f**k ups

Thats fucked up.

About the only thing i could suggest is getting someone to drill and helicoil it but if it's where i think it is then it's easier said than done.

Or just do it the dodgy way and try and get it back in straight (again, easier said than done).

If it's where I am thinking of, access is going to somewhat serious suck...

As Zei said, maybe try gentle and SLOWLY removing it, and then get a tap in there to try and straighten the thread, use the die to clean the banjor thread up and try again, otherwise your in a bit of trouble....

i think from memory thats a metric thread, so make sure you get it right before you retap it! you dont want to stuff it completely. but then again there is always a fix for a thread problem. even its its a bastard of a fix to do
