Does anyone know what the torque setings are for the different bolts on a turbo as I need to rotate the centre on my new turbo?

Figures would be fine, I can roughly gauge what the torque is if I know what numbers to shoot for.

yeah what zei said hehe

i normally do them hand tight, then do them up 'tight' remembering the number of rotations, and doing the same for the others to keep them all at the approx the same sort of torque

ie 1 rotation or 1/4 rotation - after doing them hand tight, on all of them

like any bolt I do them up diagnally from the inside to out, or in the case of the turbo opposites while rotating.

So your saying tight but don't strip it? I generally do these sorts of thing up in steps to keep them even.

Just going to resuscitate this thread for a sec..

When putting dump pipe studs in my turbo, should I use mild or stainless steel studs, could there be some sort of reaction between the cast iron and the stainless?

Also how do I get them in tight? and do I tighten them right to the bottom of the thread in the turbo? I was thinking do two lock nuts up against each other and tighten it up like a bolt, then unlock the two nuts and wahlah?
