Best thing to do is go through the tutorials on the garrett website, www.turbobygarrett.com . It gives a pretty good grounding in the basics.

Just had a quick look and yes it appears to be quite comprehensive.
I forgot I bought a book on turbos years ago when I first started looking at using turbos just have to remember where I put it.

Which book did you buy? The two that I have that are quite good are:

Turbochargers by Hugh Macguiness
Maximum Boost by Corky Bell

Great bedtime reading

I've had them both for over 5 years. I think i was given 'turbochargers', and bought 'maximum boost' from autobarn when i worked there

There is an automotive book shop on bond st roselands, there is also one in the city. I think its called autobooks. Either of these places should have them

I bought it over 10 years ago. It is about 12mm thick but I can't remember what the title was or where I have put it. It's hiding with a few supercharging books and SB Chev books.

Its probably the Hugh Macguinness book then. I don't think the Corky Bell one is 10 years old yet

That name rang a bell but without having it in front of me I cant say for sure. If memory servers me right it was quite a good book and had sections where Ak Miller was turboing with LPG in it (draw through and blow through carby / mixer)

It had an excellent section on tractor pulling in it

Yep thats definately the one tidy looking small block from Gale Banks.
Yes I recall the section on tractor pulling and the triple turbo setup.
