Was just wondering if gasket goo (the brown sticky shit) will do the job sealing inbetween the exhaust housing-gasket- dump pipe?

seen the other day there is no gasket between the exhaust housing and the dump pipe, i have a gasket

Just buy a genuine gasket from nissan and don't bother with gasket goo.

Some dealerships keep the gaskets you need in stock now, I know macaurthur nissan in campbeltown do and they are really not that expensive

youll need to use both a gasket and gasket goo or youll have trouble later on with exhaust leaks.

im assuming u wouldnt want to lose most of ur power and sound like a diesel engine so id say do it right the first time and get the gasket and goo it up

goodluck with it

DON'T use gasket goo or exhaust cement.

if you are using good quality gaskets there is NO need to use it. Exhaust gasket cement is designed to be used on old gaskets that are not readily available, in these cases you use it to "replenish" the old gasket and make it seal again.
Exhaust cement can damage oxygen sensors and cat convertors. Its is seriously not required.

its dead set evil shit when used on exhaust sysytems.

most brands contain some sort of silicon content. Silicon is not exactly friendly to oxy sensors.

Scary. How can you (the mechanic) forget something so simple.

i actually removed it, i removed the dump pipe so i could see what was going on with the gate, identified the problem and had the car towed to my mechanic, silly me left the gasket in the centre consol and didnt tell the mechanic, realised it wasnt fitted when i looked in my centre consol the other day
