Ive been thinking about this for a while now, and im curious as to weather it can be done.
Now, is it possible to have a internal gated turbo that would produce over 200kw atw confortably.

Now lets say you have the basic mods, fmic, pod, turbo back exhaust, is it possible to run the turbo at a low safe boost level while other supporting mods are installed like injectors, fuel pump, manifold etc.

Then once the engine has such things, increase the boost accordingly until the engine can handle the power until the 200+ kw atw is achieved....

the turbo is also internally gated

why would you think this is not possible?

not only is it possible, its quite easy! with the right setup/tune, an S15 turbo will get you 200rwkw relatively easily..

internal gate turbos can take you up to nearly 300rwkw these days!

- but i guess it also depends on what you classify as 'low safe boost level'..??

Low safe boost setting I meant was as much as the engine can handle before other mods are applied, then once more mods are done, boost levels go up accordingly.

Rather than starting a new thread ill ask in here.
With the mods I have, what is the max power I can achieve and how much for the turbo to do this?

with those mods you could safetly run 12psi with a mild street tune and produce about 145kw-160kw

my cousin has an S14 with only a filter and 3" exhaust running 12psi all day everyday on a mild street tune and producing 146rwkw

I know of cars making far more power than that at less if not similar boost.

180rwKw is not uncommon if you are prepared to use a T28 and cams with stock internals.

on a much more agresive tune id say, hes running a very mild tune till he gets a front mount, im getting 210kw@15psi on a slightly agressive tune

whats your definition of an aggressive or mild tune?
you cant just throw these words around and expect to equate a kilowatt figure out of it. Is an aggressive tune safe? if so then what makes it aggressive? i would consider what goes into actual tuning before describing the tune.
by the way i have absolutley no knowledge about tuning a car so im not looking for a pissing contest here, just an explaination.

im only on 10 psi making well over 210 rwkw :P closer to the 300rwkw range on an external tial gate

problem is traction, and boost cut till i go for next tune :P

u can get 180rwkw, WITHOUT tune on similar boosts.

Stock ecu, is that mild enough for you?

Thanks for the replies. Sorry I havent said any thing latley, havent had the net for a while.
My basic goal for the car is to see easily over 200rwkw, while still being an easy around town car to drive. Like hardly any lag...

I have info on it, since it is my car.

It made 197rwkw on 12psi at a silviansw dyno day at unigroup

Running stock ecu, stock injectors, stock afm, and s15 jap T28 and a few other things

http://members.iinet.net.au/~too_much_b ... 0_dyno.JPG

It has been driven relatively hard. It easily holds 3rd gear slides on oran park
