or he hangs out with commodore drivers,as that's a low-skill-required powerslide, which is as close to real drift as those guys get.

it might be fun,but it's nothing like the real thing. powerslides are the drifting equivalent of masturbating and then saying you've had great sex.

I slide my lexus around occasionally,so I must be god then. it weighs 1800kg!

heavy cars can do single corner drifts quite easily actually,as there is more momentum with all that weight. basically, all you need to do is get them unsettled (pretty easy with a commodore) with a quick flick, then throw some lock on,and then mash your foot to the floor, backing off when you want to straighten up.
where they struggle is with quick changes from side to side.

if you want to talk skill, try keeping an underpowered car sliding. THAT is difficult. pushing something with 400plus HP sideways and holding it there isn't as hard as you're trying to make out. if you can do it when you only have 150hp to play with, you're far more skilled.

I know personally if I was after massive power, I would go for something like a skyline, should be able to make +300rwkw without spending a gazillon dollars.

werd !!!

HKS 2835 Pro S comes VERY close to 300 with the proper support mods and tuning....and with minimal lag.

3037s and the "magical" 300 is easily attainable.....

but yes ive driven a 33 with 250rwkw and a s15 with 190kw....s15 feels a lot faster and was more fun to drive (stock turbo on s15)

also driven a 180sx with GT28 BB....dont know the power output...but Id take a stab and say a tad over 200 and I cant imagine needing any more power than that for street use....

ok im done..... :P

the reason im after 300rwkw is because i was a previous owner of a 5.7 vs commodore gts producing 450rwkw...
owning and driving a v8 with thid much power and torque takes some skill..
second of all, going from a car with that much power and speed and jumping into somthing slower defeats the porpose of doing up another car.

I have driven in SB powered street cars making 550Hp and 450rwkw definately is not a daily driver. Problem is 300kw is not going to make you happy.

It may be the same power to weight ratio but you are going to sacrifice so much bottom end torque that it will be unsatisfying.

I have driven / owned the sort of car where it has launched so hard you cant grab the dash to pull yourself out of the seat. I personally dont think a turbo car will give you that kind of torque that low down.

Maybe a supercharged (non centrifigul) SR20 might come closer to the mark.
